3/17/2009 - Time to move on


I have seen the future, and it's not here.

WelshPixie led the efx community in a new direction recently when she gave birth (figuratively) to www.efx3.com. I started a blog there in less than a day, and that's where I will be posting from now on.

If you have been paying attention, you know that this site may not be long for this world. They have to renew the domain name, the guy who can do that isn't around any more or doesn't want to get involved. That's a problem. And if you have been around for a while, you remember the long, long outages and other times when efx2 or efx2blogs was just barely working.

It appears that efx3 has thought a lot about some of the major problems that plagued efx2 and efx2bliogs. The new site promises to be much more stable. Time will tell, of course, but they're off to a very good start.

So that's where I'll be. It's been fun here, but I'd better be moving on. Time to get out of the building before they tear it down.

I strongly recommend that you do the same.

well i'll still be hanging around at efx2blogs.com, efx2blogs.info, vox, and blogger while posting at efx3.com and updating my personal website from time to time. i'm sure i'll see you around somewhere :)

the net is, by nature, hostile. it doesn't matter where you go. it's very easy to shoot off an angry email or upload a defaced photo of someone you hate or make a comment or post directed at someone without considering the consequences

even i know i'm a target (*waves to all his enemies* hi!) but that shouldn't discourage you from speaking out what you think. go ahead and express your feelings out in the open. you just have to be prepared for the backlash. if people really want to they can dig up something you said years ago and shove it right back in your face all over again

I'm over at efx3 too Peter. As you know by my post, I have had enough of disappearing Keith. I have nothing against him personally, but I am tired of moving around like a wandering gypsy. Time to get stable. EFX3 it is.
